It is a department that practices the diagnose and surgical operation of diseases involving soft and hard tissues (impacted tooth, intraosseous inflammation, cyst, tumor, sinus pathologies) located inside the mouth via local anesthesia, general anesthesia or sedation within a sterilized environment.
Wisdom teeth are located at the backmost of denture. Generally, these teeth partially erupt or remain impacted inside the jaw bone owing to various reasons such as, lack of space for the tooth to fit in, differences in tooth eruption positions, etc.
If it is completely erupted in mouth and can be brushed easily, then the tooth extraction is not necessary. The wisdom teeth that cannot be brushed easily, that pressure the adjacent teeth, that are irremediably decayed, or that lead to bucca or tongue biting should be extracted.
There is no feel of pain during surgical procedures that are administered via local anesthesia, general anesthesia or sedation.
Unless you follow the directions of your doctor after the procedure or take adequate care of your oral and dental hygiene, some complications may occur; such as swelling, cyanosis, delay in recovery period, infection, pain.
